To ensure the electronic customs clearance system operates stably and efficiently, the Customs Department (IT & Customs Statistics Division) has issued Notice No. 342/CNTT-QLVH regarding the maintenance plan for the VNACCS/VCIS system. Import-export enterprises are advised to take note of the schedule to avoid disruptions in customs declaration submissions.
1. System Downtime Schedule
The maintenance will be carried out in two phases during weekends in April 2026 as follows:
- Phase 1: From 09:00 AM on April 19, 2026 to 06:00 AM on April 20, 2026.
- Phase 2: From 09:00 AM on April 26, 2026 to 06:00 AM on April 27, 2026.
2. Scope of Impact
During the above maintenance periods, the VNACCS system will temporarily stop receiving customs declarations. This means that enterprises will not be able to submit new declarations, make amendments, or respond to operational information via the electronic system.
3. Recommendations for Enterprises
To minimize risks of shipment delays or additional storage and demurrage costs, we kindly recommend that customers and enterprises:
- Proactively plan declarations: Submit declarations and complete customs procedures before the system downtime (before 09:00 AM on Sundays, April 19 and April 26).
- Adjust transportation schedules: Arrange vessel or trucking schedules in line with the system’s resumption time to ensure timely customs clearance and cargo pickup.
- Closely monitor status: Carefully check declaration status after the system resumes to promptly handle any technical issues (if any).
