Increasing geopolitical tensions, the complex and protracted conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the escalating conflict in the Gaza Strip, and attacks on transport activities in the Red Sea have affected the global supply chain of goods.
At the same time, the explosive development trend of e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce, along with the increasing requirements for green logistics and sustainable development, is both an opportunity and a challenge for Vietnam's logistics service industry.
In the context that the world still has many uncertainties, opportunities and challenges intertwined, the organization of the Vietnam Logistics Forum 2024 to discuss, propose and propose the implementation of many solutions to develop logistics services should be identified as one of the key tasks in the country's economic development.
According to the Import - Export Department, Vietnam has many potentials and advantages in the development of logistics services such as being strategically located in the dynamic development region of the world, having an economy on the verge of development, deep international integration, being the 8th emerging market with large consumption power, e-commerce tends to thrive, being the new manufacturing hub of the Asia - Pacific region.
