On the morning of December 11 in Lang Son, the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) officially opened Viettel Logistics Park. This is the first logistics park in Vietnam, with the largest and most modern infrastructure scale in Vietnam.
Viettel Logistics Park has an area of 143.7 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 3,300 billion VND, capable of handling 1,500 customs clearance vehicles per day (2 times more than currently). With synchronous infrastructure, this is the first and most modern logistics center in Vietnam to provide a full import and export logistics service chain from customs clearance, quarantine, inspection, to loading, warehousing to cross-border transportation.
The data system at the park will also be standardized and directly connected to Vietnamese and Chinese customs data, ensuring the optimization of the operation process, reducing the customs clearance processing time from 4-5 days to less than 24 hours, reducing customs clearance costs by 30-40%, increase the efficiency of refrigerated container trucks transporting fruit from 2.5 trips/month to 4-5 trips/month.
Viettel Logistics Park is built according to the highest standards of technology (such as IoT, 5G, AI, Big Data and Digital Twins) and automation (such as Smart Locker (smart locks), drones, autonomous vehicles). These automation technologies and solutions are applied to optimize operational processes, from warehouse management, to freight transportation and customs clearance, which will optimize the forwarding process, helping businesses save 40% of logistics costs.
In addition, Viettel Logistics Park is also designed according to the LEED standard of the United States (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design - International standard for green architecture), complying with sustainable and modern operating principles. With more than 3,300 trees, a renewable energy system and a circular economy model, the park not only operates efficiently but also contributes to environmental protection, building a green and friendly logistics ecosystem.
Viettel Post has developed the V-Gate application to support businesses to book online. This system is integrated with satellite systems: Intelligent Transportation Management System (Smart Gate), Other Future Logistics Park System, Intelligent Warehouse Management System (WMS), Financial System to help improve operational efficiency, enhance transparency and ensure a smooth and accurate freight forwarding process.
At the event, Mr. Hoang Trung Thanh - General Director of Viettel Post emphasized that the term "park" brings an image of modernity, environmental friendliness and well-organized. The project was built according to LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) standards, issued by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) in 1995 in the United States. This is the standard of a green building, energy saving, high automation and protection of the human living environment.
"We plant more than 3,000 trees on the premises, use renewable energy, treat the internal environment according to the circular economy model, create a sustainable working space. On January 17, 2024, at the opening event of the Smart Sorting Technology Complex in Quang Minh Industrial Park, Mr. Cao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group identified an important task: "Viettel continues to build logistics infrastructure, contributing to making Vietnam a logistics center of the region and the world. We consider this as a guideline for all our efforts and creativity. And today, less than a year later, overcoming many difficulties, we have realized that orientation by opening Viettel Logistics Park in Lang Son," Mr. Hoang Trung Thanh affirmed.
Major General Cao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group said: "In the coming time, Viettel will complete the network of logistics centers nationwide, serving key economic regions with 5 orientations: Smart border gate; Agricultural product logistics center; Logistics centers in industrial parks; Supply chain infrastructure; Multimodal transport network to create a smart logistics ecosystem, automation, multimodal connectivity, from road, railway, waterway to air, contributing to making Vietnam an important logistics center of the region, strictly implementing the spirit of Resolution No. 13-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee which emphasized the role of logistics infrastructure in connecting and improving the efficiency of the economy"./.
